    Tug finished

Once finished I gave my model a name, I've caled it Hades II as all my model ships are Greek. It sails well and as it's equiped with a magnetised life line , it's able to rescue any larger ship in difficult situation.

    Well Done!

She looks fantastic. I esecially like the weathering effects with the rust runs. Rust is something i have yet to master. After several dismal attempt i tend to leave out rusting on my models.

(I am half Greek-Armenian on my mothers side)

Nice model. I have thought about some form of magnetic recovery system myself but never got around to putting it into practise yet. I guess when I loose a model one day it might get me motivated!!

I can only agree with the others here, a very nice looking Model and I love the weathering on it too, always adds effect and realism to any model. Very nicely done.

        Regards........Mark

Thanks for your comments, Nice to have another felow Greek around!

for rust Weathering, use Tamyia paint or even better Games Workshop paints, largely thined with Tamiya paint thiner ( for Tamiya paints) our Water for Games Workshop paints, pic up with a rather smal brush, a drop of liquid thined paint and apply it to thi uper part of the hull where from the rust is supose to lick. Then press brush slitly against the hulle in order to get the liquid paint to lick along the hull. repeat operation sevral times with to different colours, lest say for example Tamiya Hull red and lite brown.

Dont forget to wipe the lincking paint alon the waterline. Let dry the Spay a satin varnish (as a hardener) Personaly I use Games Workshop's Purity Seal.

Now it's up to you good Luck

looks nice I prefer to see things rusty, dirty and used than brand new If you dont mind me saying a couple of crew would set it off I hope you dont mind me saying that just to it puts everything in to scale

Agreed!!, get some figures on it, it will bring it to life, as they did on my tug.
