Keeping a ship covered from dust etc??

    Evening, pain again

Trying to find a way to cover/protect a ship when building/painting from dust, hairs etc

For StuG's i use plastic food containers, £1 perfect but a ship is rather longer lol. Can only think of buying 2/3 containers for bacon and join them together.

What do you use??? Sorry yet more questions!!

Perhaps some suitably sized clear plastic “Really Useful Boxes” or similar might suit? Another option is a large enough cardboard box lined with polythene or bacofoil to stop it dropping dust on the model.

How long is it Bob? (snigger). How about one of those plastic troughs for soaking ready-pasted wallpaper?

I use an ordinary plastic bag of a suitable size. Shove the model in and seal the end of the bag with an elastic band.

Had the same problem Bob when working in the garage at my last house.

Amazon put in search. 2ft 3ft 4ft 5ft 6ft Clear Transparent Clothes Rail Protective Zip Over Cover for Garment Hanging Coat Racks The Shopfitting Shop.

May be able to fit over & around your bench. Or put in a shelf. Or cut down the height to suit.

The other gadget which I found indispensible, in the garage, was a little blower. Use it before painting etc & it get shot of all those bits.

Lastly a tip. Before airbrushing, in the garage, I had a fine spray bottle & blasted the area in the garage 10 mins. before spraying with a fine water spray. Also stuffed up around the garage door with foam. The wind rocketed thro. the gaps.
