Hi guys,
I was just after some advice on what is probably a pretty strange idea. I am a keen wildlife photographer, and I am currently thinking of ways to get some new and interesting shots. My idea was to use a duck or goose decoy (the floating type used by waterfowl hunters) and use the inside to hide a remotely operated camera. I want to be able to remote control the "duck boat" close to the wildlife whilst avoiding disturbance and get closer than is otherwise possible, but I don't know where to begin. Ideally I want something that is very stable, capable of relatively long range, and a half decent battery life (Most of the RC boats i have seen have about 15 mins of run time which is probably not going to be anywhere near enough. My idea was to use the floating decoy itself with the attached ballast as opposed to mounting it on top of a ready made RC boat to get better stability! Like I say, i have the idea of the photos I want to get but no idea the best way to go about. What would you guys do? Cheers,
Joel
