    Sail ship rigging

Hi I am attempting my first sail ship ,Drake's Golden Hind, and the instructions say coat the rigging with clear glue before cutting from the rigging machine.

What I need to know is what type of glue to use ?

Or is there a better way to rig it ?

    Cheers.

    Hi wullieboy,

Ive never done a ship model kit but im sure fishing line would be a easy way of doing the ships rigging and less hassle than a form of glue

    hope this helps

This has stirred a very distant memory...and I mean distant!

I once made a model of the U.S.S. Constitution, and I do remember the instructions telling me to buy a lump of beeswax to coat the rigging lines with.

I can't remember why, perhaps it was to 'flatten' any fuzzy bits on the thread.

Not much help really, but best of luck with the build. why not post some pictures?
