    Wooden deck, whats next??

    Evening

    Now i have overcome the fear of the wooden deck, whats next??

    I have AK deck wash so i assume;
    Gloss vanish then wash, same as armour???

    Would the wash weather the decks giving the effect of different wear on the planks

    First nag of the new year, but sadly not the last!

    Shouldn't you be painting each individual plank with painted wood grain on them?? :smiling5: :thumb2:

        Bob,
        I'd varnish the wooden deck, to protect it, but I'd hold off on the wash for the moment - these ships had large crews, and keeping wooden decks clean was a good way to keep them busy! Any wash should be applied later on, and very lightly................
