    Standby/safety Vessel

Hello my name is Stuart Kaul and I live in Esbjerg Denmark

I'm building a 1:50 scale model of the North Sea Safety vessel Grampian Cavalier

The vessel was built in 2007 along with 6 other sister ships with 4 more on its way.

The Grampian Cavalier is British design from the company IMT of Montrose

She is 48mtrs overall with a beam of 11mtrs.

At the moment I'm in the process of building a negitive mould this is my first model and beacuse of this it will not be a working model

I will send in more information as I come along

    For the time being

    Happy modelling

    Stuart

Hi Chris thanks for your comments

They are very welcome to hear.

I think in general she is a very nice looking ship as I was constructing the hull you can see she has very nice lines but based on a Stern Trawler.

I cant wait to get stuck in and cover the more detailed parts of the ship

The model will only be a static model as she is my first model

But my second project Strill Poseidon will be fully functional but this won't started until I'm statisfied with the Grampian Cavalier.

Strill Poseidon is another intresting ship also a Safety/Standby vessel but on a totally different scale she is 92mtrs in length and 18meter beam she will be built at 1:75 scale but more information on this later.

      Best regards

      Stuart
