MM Shipwright Lady Betty 36in Yacht Model

    Hello

I am looking for some help. Following the death of our father in law we inherited a model boat. It is not complete but from the plans it says it is a lady betty. The plans state they are from mm shipwright of 13 - 35 bridgstreet, Hemel Hempstead. It also has what looks like a book although the covers are missing explaining how to construct the 36in racing yacht. His dad had completed all the wood work for the boat but I do not know how far along he is from this point, it does not have any sails.

Can anyone tell me anything about mm shipwright and these plans? Does the company still exist?

We would like to sell the boat, plans etc does anyone know the best way to do this?

    Thanx

Hi Alliblob and wellcome to the Scale Models forum. I think a good start would be to get some photo's of exactly what you have posted so that we can get an idea of just how far the construction is and to what standard it has been built.

Your options for sale are either eBay or specific forums which specialise in model boats of which the two most popular are modelboatmayhem.com and the model boat magazine website. Both are very active forums and both have sales sections. They may well be able to help a bit better with value as well but the question will still always come back to requiring some pictures.
