    Ellesmere Port show

Did any one else go to the Ellesmere Port show

I went on the Sunday and oh what a shame it was empty I suppose great for getting around though

The club models on show was as usual to a high standard but the lack of clubs showing mine included made the event a little sad

I know there was the same type of show about 10mins away and the clash must have made both shows suffer

I dont care about the politics of why they clashed but for it to happen is pathetic as there is more than enough room on the Marine moddeling calender to support both shows

I hope there is a show of some sort next year and a but of luck two of them hopfully with a gap in between

Both shows have already been announced for next year and, as usual, they are both on the same two days, the 29th and 30th August '09.

It does have the advanatge of allowing people to see both events in the same weekend though, which can be a good thing for some who travel a long way. I don't think we are ever going to see these two shows combine but I think by now most people have made thier own minds up as to which show is the best for them. Judging by all the reports I have seen this years event at Birchwood was an excellent show at a great venue and drew a big crowd.

I see Bunkerbagre that you are biased on this forum as well as Mayhem. As a moderator you should be seen to be neutral. How can you judge a show when you DID NOT EVEN ATTEND EITHER.

Sorry to be this way but you are BIASED to the Birch show and you should be impartial unless of course?????????????????????????????Think on what I have said but knowing your style as usual you will just delete this post as you do on Mayhem

I dont think there will be a problem soon as NATURAL SELECTION will sort it all out and the show with all the visitors will win , the attendance has droped and droped at one of the shows as the MODELERS voted with there feet, and went to the show they like the best, now as I have not favoured any show is this post as far as I am concerned it is nuteral as are the moderators on this site, this site is for modelers to talk about models so it does not have problems, thats why it nice to come on hear.

I couldn't agree more Crash, you can't get away from the effects of free market forces, which will ultimately decide on the direction of this issue.

I didnt mean to start an argument and I still say there's room enough for BOTH shows just NOT at the same time

Don't worry Tag an argument won't start here, this is a nice quiet friendly forum where we all enjoy talking about scale models and associated subjects.

As I say to all new members, enjoy your time here!
