I had an intense period of building model boats between 1975 and 1983. For some strange reason, and almost overnight, I lost all interest and my model boats were resigned to the dark and dusty corners of the cellar. 25 years later and now retired, my joy in sailing model boats has returned. With great trepidation I revisted the dark corners of the cellar and retrieved (amongst other treasures !) my much loved Thornycroft ASRL 2608. Inside the model I found a price sticker with 'DM 85'. Apparently I had tried to sell her but, thankfully, had failed.
I will spare you the details (especially about removing the mummified spiders), but 2608 is back from the dead.
A few photos to celebrate the occasion.......
