hi guys im new to this forum so please bear with me. i have just started building a robbe u47 i am using an engel 850 tank and i am wondering where the best place for the water inlet is?

An 850 tank , may be a little large ( due to the space needed ) you will have to plan the internals very carefully. A 750 ml no probs but don't know about an 850 ml.
The rear bulkhead nr the bottom, as the tank comes out with the internal tray which is fixed to the rear bulkhead .
It is also advisable to fit bellows on both the ends of the control rods, ie internal and external, you will need to fit larger tubes for this, you can get brass tube will be ok instead of the alluminium ones in the kit.

thanks sub for the photo my main concern is where to go through the wtc top or bottom because of air being trapped in the system i see on your pic the pipe gose down but i cannot see were it exits the wtc sorry to be a pain but i dont want to make any silly mistakes. regards keithComment

The inlet needs to be at the bottom of the rear bulkhead as it will be fully underwater when your boat is fully surfaced.

I , too, am installing the engel tank in my U47. Could you send me some pictures on how you mounted it on the tray and where the water inlet tube goes through the bulkhead. A picture is worth a thousand words. Many thanks.
