Hello everyone can you help finding a catalogue please

My brother has been given a 1 metre long Perkasa with a fibreglass hull in a sad state , he wants to use only the hull to create an entirely custom boat , ie lower the deck to show ribs and creating a rail similar to old fishing boats , a wood plank deck , with a very moderm streamlined luxury cabin . Imagine a billionaire converted a 100 year old boat into a luxury cabin cruiser for personal use - old charm with new technology .

Anyway he wants a comprehensive up to date catalogue of reasonably priced accessories and more importantly differents sized and shaped balsa wood preferably from the uk and i would be grateful for any suggestions .

Hi Helen, I would strongly suggest that your brother starts off by purchasing a copy of Model Boat magazine and Marine Modelling International magazine. Between them most of the big modelling suppliers advertise so he will have a handy reference with them.

    In the meantime have a look at these;

    1) Hobbies shop, hobby store, craft tools and materials, model boats,

Mostly general modelling supplies but boats as well

    2) JoTiKa Ltd. ~ Homepage.

A huge selection of kits as well as supplies and materials.

    3) Welcome to the Model Dockyard

A huge selection of building materials and accessories from all the big suppliers all under one roof.

    4) Home

Again covering all aspects of RC mnodelling including boats

    5) Westbourne Model Centre Model Boat Suppliers of all leading model boats and fine scale boat models

Another big supplier specialising in model boat kits and supplies.

    6) SHG Model Supplies

Plenty of intersting model boat stuff and a wealth of information available.

That should get you started and give your brother something to read up.

Thanks Bunkerbarge he's now discovered another problem

He has a Panther 46 Marine with pull start engine part no 1040 and a web search revealed only one result and that was ebay ?

He needs to know what fuel to use ?

He's assuming the air goes to the big bullet shaped piece at the top , the fuel directly to carb , and the cooling water requires no pump ?

Any info or a helpful link would be nice ?
