    Dragon Sturmboat colour?

    Hi Guys

    I am hoping that someone can help me, I am building a Dragon Sturmboat and wish to know the correct colour these were, after a little research (to which there isnt much) i presumed these were painted in either panzer grey or green?

    I`m hoping that someone may be able to help me out with the correct colours these were.

    Any help will be grateful.

    Just been having a look for you and you're right, there's nothing much. Have you seen this?

    Armorama :: Thanks Gator! 1/35 Dio Sturmboat&Pioneers

    ƒhƒCƒc “ËŒ‚‘D’ø w/ ƒpƒCƒIƒjƒA@ƒhƒ‰ƒSƒ“@1/35 '39-45' Series@6108@ƒvƒ‰ƒ‚ƒfƒ‹

    Not colour refs, but a few nice wartime shots for inspiration maybe.......

    The instructions (just in case you don't have them for some reason) state the exterior as green, wood brown for the interior and silver for the engine.

    There's a nice camo one on here:

      Hi Alex

      Where did you dig those up from, thank you for that, its much appreciated.

      Ive seen a wartime pic in a book i have at home, and i am seriously thinking of doing a dio based on that particular pic, it look interesting, so based on those pics you posted, I think i will go for a dark green outside and a brown wood colour inside the boat, those pics are great and very useful, once again thank you.

        It's a pleasure, Tom. I searched under the name Sturmboot instead - it seems to offer a few more suggestions. What I wanted to find for you was a restoration of a real one where the original paint showed. I did find one, but the owner had rubbed it down and found red! Not quite the original colour, eh? lol

        Good luck and look forward to seeing your dio.

          Thanks Alex, ive already got a start on the boat, its ready for painting, and the base board for the dio is already cut awaiting sanding.

          I have finally decided to go with brown(wood) for the inside of the boat and dark green on the outside, I will post pics on the build once i start the base and motorcycles, just got to get one or two more figures and that should be it.
