at the end of the month a dear friend of ours is having his 88th birthday and he served on the HMS ramilies during WWII , last year I bilt him a HMS Warspite because no one makes any of the old 'R' class battleships but this year I have decided to make him Ramilies by combining two kits.

the hull is going to come from a Warspite due to the similarity and the upper deck from a Repulse , with a bit of jury rigging I should get pretty close to the Rammy .

Just been reading about HMS Ramilies on Wiki and she had a great career.

Ships have never been my thing but after reading the history I can understand why anyone who served on her would be proud.
