Model boats on TV 'Flogit' programme.

Did anyone else see 'Flogit' today on the television, some really nice boat models, including those tethered speed jobs, looked like a nice boating pool as well, any idea where it was ?

Think it was Childe Beale near Pangbourne in Berkshire.

( Could be wrong though !!!!)

If it was Beale Park ( I didnt see the progamme) that is a venue for a couple model boat events and at least one waterplane event each year. Good place for family outings too. Lots of rare birds ( feathered) gardens and model boat museum. The owner, Richard Howard, is an enthusiastic modeller and has a large collection of model planes and boats. There is also a large lake suitable for full-size boats. The Wooden Boat Show is another interesting event that has been held there. The title is a bit misleading, there was a Mr. Child involved in the original estate. A nice place to visit.

Yes Barry ,that was Richard in his private storage area with the bigger models , some built for and used in films. His own everyday models he admitted once was "about 400", most with their own r/c tx and rx servos etc!
