    Airfix Illustrious 1/350

I bought this some time ago and do not know why ! Except on holiday in Portsmouth (probably explains it) looking in a model shop at this on offer (shortly after they went bust shame nice shop) and Pauline says "buy it" . So I did well you do (do not get many of those offers) but with out thinking will I build it.

Although I love the Invincible types as this little carrier, Invincible that is, with a big heart did a magnificent job in the Falklands, quite frankly there is no hope of me attempting this. Building ships boats is not me.

So it is going free as I cannot be bothered with Ebay. Any one who wants it can have it provided they pay me postage Jersey UK (not excessive about the same as UK).

Conditions. That who ever takes it builds it in the near future and shows the construction on this forum. Most important that they give their word they will no sell it on. Perhaps a fiver to Afghanistan Soldier's' Families who were lost there.

    Just PM me

Yes I hope so as well Si. I kept looking at it and thinking that someone else will do it justice rather than sitting up there, taking up precious space in our flat, probably for ever. What ever is ever !

I may take this off you Laurie, if you can bear with until next week. I have a new workstation (shed) arriving so will have more space to work in, have a couple of projects to do but hopefully, if the weather holds, I can do some spraying etc outside. If someone asks for it in the meantime please just get rid Laurie.

Oh dear sorry to disappoint you Si but it has found a good home.

But I am sure that you will find many other things to do in your new work station (shed).

That was one of my problems not where to build but where to put it. Did I take it to bed with me or did I stick it on the balcony with Pauline's flowers.

It did not appeal to me or was greatly thought of by you know who.

No disappointment Laurie, glad it has gone to someone who can make use of it.
