    stern wheeler that my brother gave me

    hi guys back again, now a problem to solve how to turn the rod movent which i part sussed from when it was elastic band powered. Now rod powered as it was my brothers stern wheeler which he was going to throw away, but he gave it to me now me happy. now I am stuck on how to make the motor turn the rod movement HEEEEEEELP PLEASE here are some pics [ATTACH]286592[/ATTACH] [ATTACH]286593[/ATTACH] [ATTACH]286594[/ATTACH]

      You've already got your answer. When you turned the paddle wheel, you converted a rotary motion to reciprocating via the cam attached to the centre of the wheel. You need a similar arrangement at the motor end. The real problem will be slowing the motor down, some sort of gearbox will be needed.
