      Thanks Ian and Ken.

Last night I rigged the launch using eezee line. So apart from some minor paintwork and fixing a flag, she's finished.

Next up, I'll paint the crew and then start on a base.

      Thanks for looking.

          Thanks Ian.
Here's the 1/72 crew. The boss, two gunners and the Lifebuoy chucker. The Skipper looks a bit naff 'cos he fits in his little hatch a'top the wheel house, resting his elbows....

          Cheers.

Crew in position. I haven't decided on the ring chucker's final position, so he's just balanced for the picture.

Looking sharp Ron, very nicely done. The figures set the build off nicely

                  Thanks chaps....

Time to do the bases. Similar to my Severn Lifeboat dio., I'll try and make a trilogy. 'Setting off', 'Giving it plenty.' and 'The Rescue'

Setting off. A total cheat for this, the first part. I've quite blatantly, and with no sense of remorse or conscience towards my fellow man, nicked the base from the aforementioned dioramas and placed the Rescue Launch in the lifeboat hole.

I promise the other two stage bases will be new builds.

Next I'll tackle 'Giving it Plenty!'

                  Cheers, and thanks for looking.

That's a great build and the dock looks cool and really adds to the atmosphere. These small boats are a great way to get some naval subjects in your collection if you are a bit tight on space, i'm definitely considering doing something similar to this kit, possibly a PT boat or RNLI boat or i might just copy yours !

Thanks boys. As you might have read in my opening post, this is going to be my tribute to the RAF - Born today 100 years ago.

                              On to summat fresh......
I'll call this 2nd base 'Flat out and going for it!'

I've shown how I make sea bases quite a few times on the forum, so I won't bore you good people with yet another.

Here is the Launch loosely positioned with blutac to make sure it looks o.k. On second glance, I think there is a tad too much 'flying' hull.....a bit of packing called for!

And here is the painted sea, ready for the vessel and some silicone.
