Ian, thank you, I'll certainly take a good look when I'm up to the water part.
Wouter, this is an easy build and I think I can start painting real soon. Now I'm feeling a lot better.

This is how far I got despite the flu.:face-with-thermometer:

    Thanks for jumping in. AG.

Steve, no thank you sir !:smirk:

Things are progressing well, today I've airbrushed the interior of the boat. I'll work from dark shades to lighter ones.
I've started painting because I want everything 100% covered with paint.
For the base paint I mixed Gloss black + Mat white + Medium grey + Tamiya laquer thinner. For the lighter shade I applied more white.

Paul, only Heller and Airfix have a 1:72 LCVP isn't it ? I think the Airfix looks pretty good ?
Richard, I'll do my best sir.
Wouter, a lot of greyblue juices will flow the coming days.

Yeah, I think Wespe & Trident used to offer a 1/87, but well over $30 + post & not nearly as good as yours w/o your improvements. 1/72 is way too big. A SimonT I'm not. He could prolly scale one down, but I couldn't do one to my satisfaction. PaulE

Thanks, I'll give them a try, but looks kinda clunky in photos. I haven't had much luck w/3D printed stuff in my scale. PaulE

Si, I've always been a slow builder but this kit is a matter of shake the box and done.
John I believe good texturing is half of the job. Thank you sir !

Today I reworked the lifebuoys. They looked exactly the same so I removed the ropes and I glued on hooks. Once painted they can be glued on easily. The machinegun.30 cockpits were given a bit of extra detail but they aren't ready for duty yet.

Nice bit of extra detailing mate, sure gives it a more 'real life' look.

Well, off to work now, hope to see another update tomorrow (no pressure LOL) :tongue-out:

                              Cheers

Wouter, thank you. No pressure by the way, I've practically spent the entire day building.

The kit bolts were replaced to fit the closed position. The cables are done. Here and there I replaced small kit parts by Evergreen stuff.

                                Weld seams were added here.
