    Hi Pete
I noticed you had bought this in the Latest Aquisitions thread - bargain at under a tenner :smiling: Looking forward to seeing it built.

Hi Jim and as they say welcome aboard, it's would have been rude of me to have just walked past and left them behind and for £9.00. Have to admit it's larger than I thought it was going to be.
        Pete.

Got a bit done wasn't going to start this to the new year the good lady said I was in the way so there was only one place to go :tired:.
Got the hull together, cleaned up the deck, assembled of the two of the cabins and started the torpedo tubes.
            Made up the stand.

I remember making the OLD Revell PT-109 when I was a teenager - more like a toy, than a real model! The new tooling looks pretty good!!!

Hi Dave some of the bigger parts have 2018 moulded in to them and the box has the same printed on it, the parts have a tiny bit of flash and just a few seam lines on the smaller parts but overall very good.
Hope I can do it justice time will tell if it goes belly up I'll send it to Ron and he can do his wreck magic on it.
                Pete.

Pete, I'm sure you will do a great job on the boat and I look forward to watching further progress.

Have you read about PT. 109 when J.F. Kennedy was it's skipper? One great story of survival and rescue.

Like Dave, I too made this Revell vessel way back, gawd knows how long ago.
I found it hiding in my loft in 2012. I repaired it and put it on a seascape here at S.M. the same year.

Fond memories and thanks for re-kindling them.

                  Ron

Hi Ron thanks for the vote of confidente, I'll try my best.

I had not read anything on this until you mentioned it but have now and as you say "One great story of survival and rescue".

Here is a link if anyone interested.

A happy thought for Peter Pan as it's Christmas.

                            Small up date.

Hull needed a small bit of filler but cleaned up really nicely.
