They are punched into sheets around 1200 x 600 in most cases Ian but beleive me its hard going trying to get the little bits out and even though its a plastic of sorts you still need to file off the burs. Once i have them out i sand down all the surfaces, this helps for painting as you would expect but more so for the finish. The surfaces arent really that flat to be honest.

    Cheers

Tonights task was to fit the Wheel House Roof, this was a nightmare to trim and fit. There were no real guide lines for cutting out so it had to be done with no mistakes. A very aukward job i dont mind telling you. Had to trim the bottom and the top and get them perfect without any error... Got there in the end.

Now a dry fit, couldnt resist taking a look at what it looked like when together.

Thanks Steve. The next job is to install some red lighting in the wheel house and white in the lower sections and then some internal painting will be done.

          Cheers

415 can give quite a kick, i had one once sitting on a metal frame that wasnt earthed, i grabbed one phase having thought that it was still isolated and nothing, i then grabbed another phase in the other hand and then i found it wasnt hehe.

Could have been right, i always feel refreshed after a good jolt lol, Some call it electric shock theropy. I think they administer it in the nut houses. Hadnt better have too much of that lol.

First set back. The lower deck lighting has been a disaster, firstly i drilled one of the cables when fixing the handrails then i found that 2 of the 3 working LEDs flashed while the other stayed constant, then i decided to see if they would be brighter on 12v as 6 seemed very dim, guess what, yes you guessed it, i blew it. Now with only 2 working and one of them flashes i have decided to ditch the ones fitted and will make a modification within the hull to provide the lighting, this is a good thing as i can light up the hull portholes as a bonus.

I havent tried the wheel house lighting as yet but i will live with how it turns out. I have decided to fit as many rails as i can now ready for primer.

I can't believe you did that. well confessed to it. LOL-

Seeing that you have run the wires in conduits, cant you just change them?

                                Its looking very smart though.
