Thanks Trey. Ive been thinking about destressing it a little it looks too new. Trouble is i have searched and cant find any ref pics of anything i can use.
That crane is excellent. I've had a nose on Google Images....I went on ship cranes and there are plenty, but not 'Happy Hunter' These might do for a general idea for weathering your model one.
There is one image of her crane if you type in 'Happy Hunter Crane' but it's pretty small. But you have probably seen that anyway.

Andy here is a shot showing the crane when the vessel was named the 'Smit Hunter', its very typical of these Cranes which were well maintained, they were load tested every 12 Months and inspected every 6 months, and apart from a bit of dirt/grease here and their they were as I say in very good nick. Cheers Derek

p.s. The photo was taken when they were fire fighting the fire which destroyed the ship in dry dock.
p.p.s If you look at the first photo of the ones I sent you re the Stern Roller, you can see the Crane clearly there, also in excellent condition.
Now i have started installing all the other gear that is needed. There is still a lot to install and when its all in i will look at cleaning up the wiring runs so that it look tidy. There will be leads that can be replaced for short ones etc...
Sound too!?! I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me ,is that a speaker? Maybe the magnet is for ballast?. Then I saw the sound module that it was hooked to,crazy stuff Andy and it keeps getting better!

Well, all the components are fitted now with the exception of the radar motor and the crane boom motor that fit to the underside of the upper deck. Now its time to sort out this rats nest and try to make a tidy job of things before i fix down the upper deck.
