Hi all Airfix missed a gun port on this so I've been racking my brains trying to think of a way of making one and I think I've got it.
first I covered on of them with bathroom sealant to make a mould then I tried to make a resin casting but it was so thin they kept breaking when I tried to get them out, so I thought I need something more flexible so being as how it was so thin I thought just acrylic paint, but that was too flexible and wouldnt come out of the mould so then I thought How can I stiffen it up a bit so I put a thin smear of superglue over it, hey presto it came out, here is the result, I may make another mould and try again as this is a bit chunky probably because of the number of times ive tried using it but at least I know it works.

Nice work, but I would not rack your brain Ken, it will put the other modelers off from doing their models seeing it on this site plus, it would not be smart off you to do that because, I can not see Pam cleaning up your blood after cutting it out from your cranium it bloody hurt you twit as you are not a surgeon.

Now that's a ship I've been around in on a handful of occasions! (what's left of it...)
A majestic one back in the days but did a Titanic on her maiden voyage keeling over and spent her life (380-ish years) in the drink until 1961.
Today she smells really terrible from the conservation job but she's stable and should remain for a very long time.
A visit I can recommend if you're ever doing a detour to Stockholm, Sweden.
Her name is actually not Wasa, that's a name they came up with in the early 1900's and changed (modernised) to Vasa in 1990.
Her actual name is Vasen but due to lack of proper spelling back in the days she was also sometimes called (written) Wasen, Wasan and Wassen.
The name stems from the Vasa family (first King of Sweden).
Good luck with bringing her back on your bench! She's a beautiful ship, just not meant for being in the waterComment

Hi all well all the detail painting on the hull is done.
I've glued the cannons on the sinking side as when it's attached to the base I think it would be very difficult.
Added to the base, need to get some more Poundland bathroom sealant now for the sea
