Billings boats ZWARTE ZEE tug

I have now put down everything plastic and decided to do a plank only on frame boat

On opening the box there is plenty to keep me going for a while including a full size plane and a large inscrution book the parts are printed witch makes for more of a challenge.

Also included is a big box of fittings.

    So wish me luck

Blimey. Anything I do with wood usually splits in several parts.

This will be a really interesting build and look forward to seeing the results. Best wishes and well done for having a go.

Heres my first pics of what i have done so far the main skeleton of the ship is now do.

It was quiet easy as it was only minimal cutting needed so i hope the rest will be like it

Have all those formers and parts been laser cut these days? Looking at your first photo set, it looks like it - that'll save you a lot of tears if it has!

On the newer kits they would be but this one is an older kit and every thing is printed witch makes for more of a challenge

Great start and choice Peter, I built this and RC'd many years ago, sailed and looked superb.

I am on a mission to finish all my started kits and this ones next on my hit list.

I have just spent the last three days planking the hull and have just completed it and used a lot of filler on it so it still looks a mess.

                        But sanding is up next
