i have had some personal set backs  hence no updates , or build  plus a couple  of mistakes i have noticed  and a break in one off  the  rib  surports  still trying to find a path or replace ,but  will be dissembling  certain parts  which i want to  avoid  if possible .

You might find dampening the planks first will ease the bending and reduce the stresses.

With regards the planking, if you have access to a steam iron if you run the steam iron over the section you want to bend and gently lift the other end you can get very acute bends without the plank snapping.

WHat I do for the planking is to use a length of plastic tube from a plumbing store with a twist cap at both ends.  Put the planks in the tube with hot water, so they are thoroughly soaked, it will make bending the planks easier.

I was chatting to a chap, about planking ,and he said they use bleach as well,

I have not gone into research about it,

and I do real like Graham ,method to sock the planks,
