Steve, use a hair dryer to warm it a bit first, then work the mast much as you are holding it now and gently bend the mast to the correct 'straightness'
You will have to 'over bend it' first, then it will come back to the required shape when it cools.
Obviously be very careful not to over do the heat.....just warm the plastic - no more than that.
Another way is to place the mast in a small hole and straighten it with temp. rigging. Then heat it gently without any manipulation from fingers and just let it do it's stuff naturally.....
Cheers,

thank's for that ron , didn't think of a hair dryer , let you know how I go . was thinking of just using the rigging , but that would put too much pressure , on too thin a plastic .Comment

Only too glad to be of some help....
Looking very nice too.
You probably won't get the mast spot on true, but, as you point out any bend left will be removed during the rigging proper.
i know it's far from finished, but how about a very thin slurry of green oils on it's bum?Comment
