    GPM 1\200 Bismarck card kit

I couldn't wait to give this one a go and as I have had some experience of this type of kit I know what I am in for.
First up will be the first third bulkheads and keel section.
The keel has to cut in half in order the first the mid section former\strengther.Click image for larger version

    Hi Peter
Are the parts just drawn out on the card or are they ready scored? On Ron's ferry the parts were already coloured/painted. Are these parts just white card?
Looks a huge undertaking. Certainly not one for beginners.

The bulkhead and keel parts are printed on paper and need to be glued to 2mm card the rest is pre colored but still need to be cut out.

That will be one great looking ship Peter.
Rather you than me, mind, because after making my fairly straight forward card ferry, I know what lies ahead - And so do you........:anguished:

So best of luck. I'm sure you'll crack it.

          Ron

Here comes the next part pretty easy at the moment just construction of the upper and lower bulkheads with the keel.
And I have the bow section and mid section finished reading to join togetherClick image for larger version

I have forgotten to add that I will be adding reinforcement between the bulkheads in order to avoid what has happened to my previous and abandoned aircraft carrier build witch is the same type of card kit.Click image for larger version

Not quite sure let's say it's a long time abandoned.
Who knows this well may Inspire to continue with it.

Looks to be a massive build from the cutting out alone, with plenty of stiffening.
Will follow this a well Peter.

                    John.

                        Hi Peter
Looks like you are making steady progress and from previous models know the pitfalls to avoid.
Looks like Teddy is keeping an eye on things :tongue-out3:

Folks who have tackled this type of model know that just a gnat's bo**ock out with this part of the build, and the whole hull is kaput!
