    OK Mark yes i'll bite the bullet until richard HOPEFULLY can find out what wrong
    but for me it may be the new motors reqiure more power so a power shortage or it may be that the relay has caused damage to NO.1 ESC as NO.2 WORKS FINE WITH THE BACK TWO MOTORS CRAZY ISNT IT

      I would think about the type 45 destroyers, the professional designers didn't get it right first time and they are now having major power plant upgrades at Cammell Laird.

      Of all my r/c boats, never knew one to be ok first time. With the Vic Smeed designed Customs and Excise cutter, 'Guardsman' it took three attempts at the rudder linkage mechanism before it was acceptable.

      WELL Tony if the professional designers didn't get it right on them new type 45 destroyers then ive got an exscuse lol but im not used to failure as this is the first time in 30yrs an on about 7 models that ive had trouble but i must admit i dont like this ole BECC system as ive been railroaded into this system as thats what the main R/C SYSTEM is a BECC system so had to buy BECC ESC 's as well as i think that all new ESC are based on the BECC system NOW i much preffered the 40meg system as it was easy to wire up an a lot more simple an it all worked as thats what i had in my big NIMITZ aircraft carrier an that all worked bueatifully but this is the last ship im doin so wont have to worry about any more ABOUT THESE BECC SYSTEM 'S CHEERS FOR YOUR REPLY

        but again guys ive been thinking that i may tomorrow rewire the red positve wire back into the NO'1 ESC an then take NO'2 ESC unpluged an un powered AN try out NO1 ESC to see if it is ok or damaged as that to me is the only way i will find out if the unit is ok if you all see what i mean as in this twin BECC system there must only be one power wire from the R/X or there will be an exsploshion of both ESC's an cant afford that to happen as theres over a hudred quid in these ESC's but i have not got time today as got to visit sis in law an mother in law :crying: much rather be doin the ship but they say we must visit today an SWMBO says yes so again im railroaded into it
        Chris :rolling::crying::crying::crying::crying:

          Must agree with you about the 40meg systems, they were far better (just my personal thoughts). Never really saw the advantage of the BECC other than aircraft and small models where space was at a premium. Never saw the need to remove the separate battery supply to the rx and servos, when space was available, as in most model boats. The 40 meg could also be used by r/c model submarine builders as it would penetrate the water and allow control up to a depth of approx. 2m, this can't be done with the current 2.4ghz system.

          Do you still plan to continue building models after this last ship? - love your Fireball XL5. I abandoned r/c models some years ago, now quite happy to build static plastic kits.

              HI Tony yes i still plan to build models as i have 2 big 1/32nd plane kits upstairs but i dont think i'l ever build aother R/C SHIP as its getting far to costly an im getting old so an nr all my boaty freinds have passed on an that bloomin norwich councill has put all double yellow lines around where we all used to park up at the big pond so what boaty moddelers were left wont come as no where to park up an good no setting off on a model that will take yrs to build as i may snuff it before its finished lol but if i did it would be a F/G HULL AS THAT 50 % of the build as i wished i could have bought a F/G HULL FOR MY TIGER but they only do it in 1/96 scale an too small for me an glad you liked my fireball XL5 i really enjoyed building that an anyway see what happens tomorrow on tiger

                  May not be any help but when I was building and flying RC electric aircraft, both single and twin engine, I used to keep my RX as far from the motors as possible to reduce the chance of interference.

                      No worries about the caps Chris, if you have a multi-channel computer TX can you not control each ESC from the mixing in the TX?

                      Andy.
