Ian, I'm fortunate enough to have a reasonably well stocked model shop 35km away, whose prices are fair, so I am able to get quite a lot of stuff there, other than that I can get things in from Australia quite quickly.
The shipping from Europe and the US is just mad, so that is out of the question.

I used to buy a lot from the UK but brexit spoilt that. I have the good fortune that the hob.hobby is popular in both Germany, Sweden and Poland so plenty of places to feed my habit.

AN HI Scottie yes this was the worst kit ive ever built even worst than that K/H JAG an that took some beating but this kit did wow if only i had remembered that airfix seaking kit it would have saved me all this bother as i could just have banged this one togeather an stuck it in the hanger where it wont hardly be seen but well we live an learn dont we Scottie usually the hard way

but today im gonna mask her up an then spray her in that nice royal blue as i wanted to do this a few days ago but every day freinds or something has come up an ive not been able to do it
CHEERS for havin a look see in on the build

                    Chris,

Just had a catch-up. That has to be the worst fitting kit I've seen in quite some time.

Well done for beating it into shape.

Also love the innovative use of the Airfix masking fluid - have you told Airfix of it's alternative use?

HI Andrew yes terrible kit but yes its looking something like it should do now but ive treid them euckudard masks an they dont fit treid several in different places on the canopy an no joy so ive just painted right over the canopy an window with humbrol masking an then sprayed her with a royal navy blue but im dreadeding takin off the masking as i think the spray paint will be all over the show as i got the shakes so this may turn out a heap of oop: :cold-sweat::cold-sweat: yet will know later this eve when i remove it all but well to me this kit has been doomed from the start an i will have to try an hand pint the canopy framein if i can oh what oop::rolling::disappointed::disappointed::disappoi nted:

                        Hi Chris

Sorry to hear about all the problems with this kit.

My reference to masking fluid, was in response to your comment below about "makol", which I thought was a typo for Humbrol's Maskol masking fluid, which happens to be the same colour.

OH YEA Andrew now i see what you mean an no i havnt told airfix about this other use for their maskol but it good for a liquid insulation as it goes off like rubber so that the wires cant touch an short out oh ive done this on several of my ship models over the yrs as this is an area where the slightes slip an the wires which are as thin as human hair will brake very easy so instead of tryin to fit shrink rap an proberly braking the wires i can just paint on the maskol an vola its done an insulated an well done Andrew for spotting it an no one else has

OH Gawd disaster on that flamein chopper the plastic is so brittle that half the small dohickeys have broken as i was cuttin them of the sprues then to top it all they have put seperate window wipers in the kit an well i fitted one perfect an then come to fit the other one an it broke in half when fitting to the cockpit glass an a tiny amount of C/A went onto the clear glass well what a muck up so ive just painted black over it im amazed at this plastic bein so brittle so please shut your eyes when lookin at the cockpit this kit has been a disaster but im not gonna bin it as its got the motors an lights in an i cant see anyway to disguise it oh dear but it may not look to bad when decals go on an i only hope they dont just splinter in the water like they did on the K/H JAG
