As always Chris, your work is superb in every respect. It is a real pleasure to watch this come together. The crane is stunning and it's just a small part of this amazing build. Hope Jen is recovering well.

        Hi Chris,
just reading through this stunning build, that crane is a work of art indeed,
I have a question.... do you 'water proof' every part of the ship you build ? I was thinking along the lines that the crane and other delicate parts would be exposed to any water that splashes about whilst you are sailing around the pond. and surely there could be the possibility that the water could damage these bits ?

keep up the good work though mate ... best wishes to Jen.

HI Chris nice to see you on here an cheers for sayin crane is work of art but yes there was a lot of work to get it into being an no no need to water proof the parts as its all made of plasticard an brass an other materials which wont get damaged if they get wet but thanks for your question an instrest Chris an this ship is pretty big an the main deck is nr 5 inches above the water line so no water will ever get on her deck as my hms norfolk sits only 3inches above the water an her decks are nr always dry except the back part of the flight deck as the propwash is sometimes higher so i dont think i have to worry about that my main worry will be gettin her to the lake an hopein things will all work
but thats in a yr or so time
ATB to you Chris an thanks for stoppin an havin a look see of the thread a sendin best wishes to jen as she much appreciates it

Yes John I did, and as you say, very realistic, just a tad expensive.

Strength isn't about what you can do, rather it's about overcoming what you thought you couldn't do.

Trouble is that realistic comes with a hefty price tag

As Chris is showing, scratch built realistic just takes time and dedication!
