Thinking about you today Chris. Hope you have a successful day either curing or fault finding.
Just out of interest. Did the plan's specify the motors and propellor size or were they left to the builder to sort out?
ATB buddy
DougHI Doug no they are left to the builder im a fraidchrisb
OH DEAR my day was a disater as yes i sailed tiger at 9am this morn without the S/S on an i was not pleased with them motors as i thought it was slow an sluggish an still a 50 ft turning circle an then to make matter worst the flamein wind got up really high an blew my hat off an only a few small boats were able to sail in this wind but i dint dare put tiger on the pond as it would have been blown into the concrete sides of the pond an then to make maters worst i just left her on show for the day shootin off the guns an such an then when we were packin up i done a silly thing as i put the main S/S in a box to protect it in travel on my chair an that blasted wind blew it off onto the concrete so there is a little damage which can be rapaired but i think tiger is jinked im at a loss on what motors an maybe bigger props to to fit to get her movin OH DEAR chrisbComment

HI Pete yes it is as im losen the will to live on this bloomin ship as i think i'll need to make the rudder bigger an what motors well i think i will be better of with them gruapner 600 in cambelt drive as ive always used these an had no trouble so i think this direct motor drive is not on but i think i'll take Ian advice an leve NORFOLK be due i may mess up two ships
cheers Pete hope you had a better day than i did an a boatyfreind just now emailed to say the he also had a ESC go up in smoke for no reason at all so he said im not the only one with eletric probs the makers must be makin crap eletronics nowadays

That is not good news Chris, maybe you are right and bigger props may help.
I've got 41mm props on ID, which is a smaller vessel, and they seem to be quite adequate to propel her with 2 x 550 motors in direct drive.Strength isn't about what you can do, rather it's about overcoming what you thought you couldn't do.Comment
