HI all many thanks for the info but ive just found out this morning that i think i may have to fit 55mm 5 bladed props as it been well over ten try since i bought any props an i have forgottern what type of props i need to push this very heavy model along so i contacted a boaty m8 who bought my HMS EDINBURGH an its a big model an i asked him what size props i fitted on edinborough an he say 55mm diamitter an she sailed lovely so no 45 mm now so that means i will have to drill out all 4 props shafts an clean them up an refit them back in the stern section so at least another 6 months work there so she wont sail anymore till late 2024 oh dear
but no good buyin a lot of moneies worth of props if they are still not big enough

HI all no shant bother with cornwall boats as jen rang 5 times an no answer but a boaty m8 came to see me today an he was horrified when i said what i was goin to do an he thinks that yes the present props are for 1/96 scale tiger like he is building an he says go with the 45 mm props as with them big motors they should be enough to get tiger goin an just make the rudder a bit bigger but keep it in scale Sooooooooooo ok ALL i'll listen to you all an fit 45mm props an i then wont have to tear up the hull an he is goin to get me some props from prop shop hopefully so see what happens as no i dint want to cut the hull but i was thinkin i was out of options an cheers ALLfor your intrest an post ATB TO ALL

HI John TBH yes i was nr to doin so as well as ive never had all these probs before on my other ships they went fine but my new boaty mate yesterday gave me a good hard talkin to an says he will help me so light at the end of the tunnel but just got to hope that these new monster motors will fit in the hull an the motor shaft lines up with them prop shafts if not then i will have to buy 4 new motors again these treble 555 motors the ones i was goin to buy in the first place but got thrown off them by the shop owner to buy them MFA 540 motors which ive found aernt beefy enough for power so hopefully with bigger props an a bit bigger rudder she will sail so it still fingers crossed but cant do any work on her till she been in a october model show after that i can get stuck in on her

Sounds to me like the price of electric motors and other RC things are higher than over here.
My plastic pusher has those 45mm screws five blade at about 12-14 quid and a good motor for between 13 and 30 quid each.Comment
