Think that when we can, we'll have to make a day of it to come up - though the boats that we got the boys when they were small are just 'point and sail' (I do have the downloaded plans for a sail catamaran, and thought that was big - at a mere metre long!)

G/M Jerry yes it would be nice to see you if you come to sherigham pond as norwich pond is the biggest but the council have been awkward an put double yellow lines around where we used to park up so sheri is the pond i will be useing as the rd goes right up to the pond an you can park your car right nr the pond edge

an its right on the cliff top nr the golf coures an lovely when warm wheather but to park you must get there in the morning as when all the holliday makers come i have a job to find a space as the car park holds a lot of cars but soon fills up an when im sailing i wont be able to talk to you as ive got to keep an eye on the ship

as yesterday a freind who has got a 1/96 scale tiger a bit smaller than mine an he told me yesterday that a person distractaked him WHEN HE WAS SAILING an his ship went under a concreate overhang an it took off all his masts an funnels oh what a shame an he sick so concentraiting on the ship is a must as when i had my big nimitz on the pond she ran down about 5 small yachts an rammed one sub so lookin at what the ship is doin is a must but its a lovely area an you have cliff tops walks an such for those who like to keep fit an be nice to meet you BUT SAILING IS THE SPUR OF THE MOMENT THING AS ITS GOT TO BE NICE WARM WHEATHER
      ALL BEST TO YOU
      CHRIS

AN Jerry a metre long catermarang is big when it comes to carrying it an there are others up the pond at times that have the same lenght boats like fishing trawlers' mtb' fast small eletric boats an big yachts at times it can get a bit hectic so being small is ok but thats why i have to keep an eye on who what an where they are

WELL Jerry its like when you are driveing a car everything has got to be thought through a quick as possible an yes some times i can turn the model quickly but must always think an look to whats where you are turning to in case a small boat is in the way an with tiger i have no idea at the moment on how she will turn an the turning circle as with my big nimitz carrier i fitted on her 4 rudders the biggest they do in brass as the real ship has only two rudders but fearing the worst on turning i fitted the 4 ruders as i said an it was still a 20ft turning circle an yes it took about 20 ft to stop her with motors hard astern as this was a very heavy model an with her batts in it took 3 people to lift her WITH BATTS IN but i could not with my back injury but there was never any shortage of volenteers as the people there could not wait to get there hands on it an several times i had to say please be carefull where you lift her as some bits were very fragie an soon broke off if not carefull an pic below of my nimitz 4 rudders Click image for larger version

Hi Chris, thanks didn't think that was the Tiger as you say the Tiger has a different stern shape for the the flight deck, understand what you are saying about hull balance on curriers . My ships captain said the Jutlandia Sea rides well in rough seas , she has two hull wings , possible two sets , have started detailing the outer console . How are you going see you are slowing coming out of lockdown . Tony.

HELLO CHAPS another update on whats happening on her an ive finalley got to the hull painting stage an here im now trying to mark on the hull the centre line for the water line an it will give me some guidence of how far the grey pant will have to come down the hull an ive made up a gadget out of balsa wood with a pencil stickin through it so i can just pull it along the hull an give me a straight line but it was not great so had to mark out some bits by hand as its all the hull curves are very awkward to get a straight line on an i fitted on the top a spirit level so the lines will be the same height each side an well i think i mandged it in the end but this took bloomin hrs to do due to size but i love a challnge
