an murphys law struck at last after fitting the hinge as this is all very fragile an i have turned the tail on its hindge but it wont go all the way around but its at about 60% so i think i'll leave it at that at the rotor blades are out of the way so they wont get broke so better than not attempting at all
but better to try than not at all

        Chris,
I'm not often left lost for words but this build has left me speechless. I am seriously impressed at the level of detail you are getting into this build.

HI Scottie well im glad you like what im trying to do on this build Scottie an you are impressed an at that im pleased as not everything i do works out due to the hinge tailfin not goin all the way around but i'll have to accept it as this whole build is quite fragile at the moment but will be stronger when its all togeather an hope fully that will happen over the next couple of days an many thanks for your nice comments

Those comments are so well deserved mate, really well deserved (apart from the fact you've used Whitworth instead of BSF on the schnurgel rotor!) !

HI Pete yea but its not correct should fold right around but im thinking its the plastic kit thickness that stopping it so i may have a go at slighty burring down the plastic edges an see if thats makes any differnce
an cheers for your nice comment

I understand your frustration Chris, however in the big scheme of things, does it really matter? It's not like you will want to remotely open and close the tail section is it? I assume it's only because it should do it, therefore it must do it.
It will in no way detract from your model, which is amazing.

WELL Pete now you mentione it i did have that intenshion as i have bought some tiny nuts an bolts so that the rotars could fold up an then when the motor starts up the blades would swing out by g forces but i gave the idea a miss as i want to finish this ship in my lifetime lol

Thinking practically, is the restriction perhaps due only to the stiffness of the wrapped wires?
