Marvellous Chris, I think it's a win with a little hiccup. I bet you wanted to go into the lake with all that heat...bring your trunkies the next time. She looks lovely in the water and well worth all the work you put into her.

      Cheers,
      Wabble

Ooooo, quite right not jumping in the pond. (Not without sturdy foot ware. )
I bear the scars of doing exactly that some 60 years ago. Still makes me squirm just thinking about it.

HI all an today ive just started investigatein that universal jiont prob an firsly i have removed that U/J an had a close look at it an i see that to me the U/J is faulty as one of the brass pins that goes through it has no rivet top on it just flat an can be pulled through the plastic an lookin at the other pin which did not fail this pin has rivet heads on it so the pin wont pull through an it did not so i think that was part of the problem an the other problem i see today is to do with how much currant the motor was takin an the motor shaft is very stiff to turn so more currant drain an its a lot more harder to turn than the other 3 motors so im gonna order another motor to replace this bad one so then will give it another try wish me luck all as i'll need it had more probs on this ship than all the others put togeather Aaarrrccchhhhhhh

Chris, you could grind a small flat on the threaded part of the shaft and still be able to screw on a threaded joint.

Haven't you only just bought these Chris? If the motor shaft is stiff to turn then take it back for a replacement.

HI again i think if i remeber rightly it was ok but i think the stiff motor shaft is due to the universal jiont failure as it also broke the prop shaft steady mountin as well in there must have been a terrific touge on that shaft when it failed so damagein the motor an Pete the cost of retuning it will outlay the cost of the motor as it was only 9 quid an the hassle as i think the motor comes from abroad but thanks for the idea
                    cheers Sir

Apologies for missing this Chris, it's brilliant to see her on the water, a testament to the work you've put into her, glad that the only probs you've encountered are reasonably easy to fix , those metal universal joints will really help control the torque from the new motors..

well done buddy, well done indeed..throws a salute your way
