Morning Richard,
Ive had to start at the beginning as it seems Iโve missed the majority of this great build.
I canโt believe how small it is :surprised:.....Some excellent modifications and tweaks:thumb2:
It took me nearly a year before deciding I had enough photo references to start on this and it's been quite a fast 5 months of building in between other projects so it's quite fast for me actually...if anyone missed anything I don't blame them. Besides ships aren't everyone's cup of tea.:smiling2:
Richard thanks for your reply, I'm going to have another attempt, the idea would be for aerials. Regards to Cook, quite willing to try that tell him.:thumb2:
As for the ship I'm always amazed at the detain in something so small. :nerd:
Hi John, aerials means you pull fast but stop before you get a bit of tension or else it might snap and you end up with curly aerials. Will get cook to prepare the dishes and broth.
Left Oxford to dry after a coat of Future. No bench time today and became a couch potato for the day.
Hi Paul, you mean this pick-up truck in the pic?...
I guess it was delivered and replaced with the Captains launch. :tears-of-joy: If you notice the antenna in the forward bigger drum hasn't been changed to the TV style antenna.
Hi Rick, one of the reference pictures that helped with the build. I guess the pick-up truck was a souvenir from one of the many port calls. There is no hold to store it as everything below was modified for surveillance equipment and crew quarters. Yup what a place to park it...no room for a spin.:smiling5:
Yea you guys have some good peppers as i wondered what PaulE was on about an then you an Rick talkin about this truck so it really got me to have a real good close look for this truck an yea i now see it an yea Rich no room for a spin on the deck lol but now it makes sence to me what PaulE was on about but i never spotted it
chris
Christopher, I didn't post any picture earlier but mentioned the pick-up truck in the first post. Other references didn't show the pick-up so I guess it was dropped off. I was surprised when I saw it on the deck. I'm sure there's a story behind it if I ask Greg.

Hi Richard, this is an incredible piece of modelling mastery. With the problems I am having in 1/350 scale I am even more impressed than I was before.
John.
