Queen Mary

I seem to have one of my boat davits missing. The box was open and partially squashed when I was given it and there were several loose bits on there so I suspect it was lost some time ago. I could just leave it off and leave one of the life boats out but it would be nice to have it. However I have no idea how I would go about trying to make sick a small and awkward shape. Any ideas from the scratch builders ?

Looking good Carl.
Taking a look at your future projects, I've rigged a couple of WW1 fighters in the past, but the amount needed on your Handley Page Bomber would have me going up the wall in nothing flat!Comment

that said another larger boat is on the Christmas list for next year build and I also have a part built titanic model which I started about 20 years ago and never completed, its about twice the size of the Queen Mary model I’ve almost completed.Comment

I’m currently trying to glue the rigging in place but even the super glue isn’t sticking so well to the paint. What’s the best way of glueing rigging or do I need to scrape the paint where I’m looking to glue?Comment

Another question to anyone that may have done this already. What’s the best way to attach rigging to the funnels. I suspect that if I try spotting super glue it will inevitably not stick every time so I’ll end up ruining the paint work if I’m not careful. I was thinking of drilling holes but even that would be awkward now they are glued in place. Any help appreciated.

When I was faced with this problem on the RMS Olympic, seem to remember carefully drilling small holes with a hand drill (similar to the Revell one).
