            Hi all
Well folks HMS Victory Cross Section is done :smiling:
The last stage had a lot in it. Here's a quick run down of the remaining jobs in that stage ...
            • paint and fit the entry ports.
            • fit the lower gun port lids.
            • make and fit the companionway ladder.
            • fit the PE hammock cranes and the netting. Incredibly fiddly, took a lot of time and bad language!
            • make rolled hammock to fit in the nets.
            • stain and fit barrels in the hold. I presume they were for things like fresh water and salted fish and meat?? Also put the ballast in the hold.
            • paint and fit the name plate.

A long build. Far longer than I thought it would be even given my very slow modelling speed. I'm glad I did it but I doubt I will even tackle another wooden kit. All credit to those who build full, wooden ship kits.

A huge thank you to all of you who have posted encouraging, kind comments. They have meant a lot and kept me going. No photos here but a selection in the completed ships section.

            Many, many thanks.

            Jim

Well done Jim. All that hardwork has paid off in spades. Back to the plastic stuff after a well earned Xmas break. Happy modelling my friend

Glad this was raised from the ashes. Missed this build due to not joining until it had been finished. Great work Jim. :thumb2:
