    "...... a few hours"?

Take your time Peter. They are very tricky little ships to paint. For the very small detail, I use a piece of sharpened sprue. A wooden cocktail stick goes soggy at the end and smudges the paint.
    I won't even mention the rigging!.....Oops, I have haven't I?

These 'Mini Ships' make up into very nice models.

Ater seeing Spanner570s 1/400 Hood, I dug out the Tamiya Hood, and that looked small enough! - but that is a bit too small - good luck!

Wow, that’s gaming scale stuff! I had the Airfix 1/1200 when I was a kid, lovely little model. This brings back nostalgic memories for me. Going together OK by the look of it. Who originally made the plastic on this? Can’t imagine it was The Works.

And here's the reason why I bought another kit as the AA guns are the smallest parts as I lost three when I did my tirpz. Click image for larger version

And finally the AA guns all went on with none lost I have noticed the end one is out of place and forgive the tiny bit of thread intrusion mind you it does give a sense of how small it is. Click image for larger version

A very neat job Peter. The Tamiya paint pot the model is supported on gives a good indication of the small scale to which you are working.
