Another Hachette Build the Titanic

I have completed the promonade de walls and sanded and varnished the boat deck
And I started to think ahead as I have two roof sections that are comprised of two pieces each that need to be glued and weighted if not they won't glue properly.

Started on the boat deck superstructure and I have found out that it's easier to cut the card walls rather than folding them.
And I have varnished all the large roof pieces.
And test fitted two.

All the main boat deck structures are complete
And I have substituted doing this for making the gratings over the domes.
For the photo etched ones

I am now half way through the build as I have reached magazine number 50 with the start of the funnels and I will be only showing one as the rest are identical in construction.
Here are all the parts.
And I have fitted the vents and finished the second class lift entrance.

That's four funnels planked I know it doesn't look like much but I will give 24 hours to dry trim to size and then fill and sand

Time to jump ship and here's how I left off I have added the fairhead rollers to the bow and stern and I now will be adding the capstans into their places on the ship.

The Spanish company OCCRE have recently announced a big wooden kit of the Titanic. Would it be the same model marketed as the Hachette one but Occre selling it as a full kit?

Incidentally, I was in my Local Model Shop (yes some are still about) and the Trumpeter Plastic Titanic 1/200th scale box stood on end up to my shoulder.
Where would the average household be able to place such an enormous model?

Before I even think about a large model I always make sure I have the space and as I recently sold a lot of my older models I now have plenty of space.
