      Excuse me Bob.

Very true Paul, I have noticed a draught from the end window in our block , is MATRON trying to kill us off ?

Thank you Bob, please carry on with this impressive build, I have no knowledge about your part of the country other than there are more sheep than people

All those lids for the hatches make a big difference.

By no means what so ever. You keep posting away.
It is a very good thread that shows a big war canoe build 'warts and all' and how you overcome them.
I for one will be sorry if you stopped posting these updates. Keep 'em coming!

Good tip about the glue brush as well. I have problems with the Tamiya stuff getting to the stuff in the bottom!
A rather good 'tool' to have at hand, for normal glue, CA. etc. (thin glues designed to wick) is a thing called a Glue-looper
THE GLUE LOOPER© is a micro glue applicator made for applying a VERY small amount of LOW VISCOSITY (i.e. - very thin) glue where you want it to go with very little or no trace of the glue.

Work well (if you have CA that works that is). I think I got some from Johns shop.

                    Hi Bob
The pe takes time but is worth it. The detail it gives is excellent.

I have the PoW under construction but I’m not using etched brass on mine as it’s the first ship I’ve ever built.
Watching with interest and taking notes as an option for any other ships I decide to build.
On the bench: Airfix 1/48 Sea King HC4, Revell 1/24 Trabant.
Coming soon: Airfix 1/72 Phantom FGR2.
Just finished: Airfix 1/48 Stuka & Airfix 1/72 Sea King HC4.

I haven’t been taking photos of my build so far, the hull and main decks are done and painted - I used a self adhesive wood deck set because I didn’t like the idea of all that masking. I’ll post some photos when I get home in a week or two.

                            Right try to stay awake

Finished the PE deck hatches but not happy with the Eduard set, says fit no 30 to 4 hatches but only 1 on the fret and still a good few with no PE for them, poor.

The box is an ideal storage box as well!

Started on the rear superstructure, added PE door, used card to fill in the slots for the wall mounted reels, added filler and drilled portholes

Really starting to look good. I have never thought of using PVA for etch.
