Amazing painting and decals. And here am I struggling to see some of the smaller decals on my 1:72 spitfire.

The top of the stack is about the size of my little finger nail, yet look at the detail. The little cranes swivel too!

                Hi Ron
You were singing the praises of this kit way back in the first post. I can certainly see what you meant. The detail is excellent for a 1/700 kit - better than some 1/350 ship kits.

That is coming on very nicely indeed!! The plane in particular is rather good !!

Just shows that detail can be done , even at this minute scale.

                    Excellent work 570.

It reads like you agree about the level of detail.:thumb2:

Look at the diddy diamond cross hatching on the brown deck area. Superb stuff!

Please don't take any notice of the rough paintwork. I'll finish that later. The object of this thread is really just to try and show the great detail Revell have achieved in so small a model ship.

                      Cheers.

If you hadn't told us the scale Ron, that could pass for 1/350 or even larger. :surprised:

                            Thanks Pete and Andrew.

The turrets have individual barrel up and downs and a turn and lock action, just like the turret on a model tank. No doubt some folks have seen this method on a model ship before, but not me.....

This is a little belter of a kit Ron. Impressive detail.
The sticking it together and paint brush work ain't to shabby either

                              Kind regards

Thanks for the observations 'Jamie'! Much appreciated. :thumb2:

I think a fair few members are of the same opinion that this kit has some rather nice detail, so I'll rattle through the rest of the build over the next couple of days.

Here's the completed bridge, funnel, A.A. platform, cranes, secondary armament. etc., etc.

I've also started to tidy up the paint work - About time, I here the cry!
