Worth an ask……I did wonder if the rear nets could be suspended on them without compromising the admiral’s view from his promenade deck?

Apparently it's a night lifebuoy, the balloons were highly polished copper!

Not being a floaty type ( water and fire don't mix ) I couldn't help, but did enjoy the suggestions .

I was hoping it was a set of balloons on which the admiral could sit on while being towed by the ship at 21 knots, more relaxing than water sking

I suppose the right question now is what on earth is a night lifebouy? Only allowed to be used at night? Do you just get to drown during the daytime?

The night buoy from what ive read is fitted with a calcium light ,a lid is unscrewed when put in the water, the water ignites the light which burn for about 30 mins.

Not too bad, but room for improvement. The ladder was a right pig to fit and I thought it would be the easiest!! Most fiddly PE I have done yet. Foremast next, similar but no Derrick to add.

Slowly wining my pe nightmares lol
