After a week of 4AM wake up calls.... We're all grown ups, we know why. I slept through to almost 8! I still had to get up to pee at 4AM but managed to get back to sleep.
The cat was not happy. (says the wife).
So with rested eyes I set about it.
The fun of welded rungs.
Start with removing the moulded detail from the part, with the aid of a little PE pattern, mark the position of the rungs:
I used needle then drilled them a little with the second smallest drill bit I have. (I broke the smallest one).
Cut the required number of rungs off the fret of PE. Big they are not!
Dip the legs in CA and place in the holes...
Some are a bit wonky mind you . LOL
Repeat for the other one and then find you have to put a grab rail right around the catwalk. On the edge, naturally. The cylinders are, by the way, about 1cm in diametre.
Onward and upwards.

The boss was working this AM. so I sloped of to my office. had a bash at the first four boats... The first one has all the PE added. the three others just the main bits that can be seen. All the bits I will never see again and some parts not even big enough to notice got left off.
Still need to add the grab rails to the roof though.
