Trumpeter 1/350 Hood, my hoped for tribute.

HMS Hood is one of the most famous warships in history and sadly met a terrible fate, 82 yrs today. Like a lot of modellers and ship lovers I have always loved her looks and history. I recently read Bruce Taylor's excellent book on the Hood and have spent a lot of time on the Hood associations superb website. I intend to join the association.

So here's my personal tribute to the crew and of course the beautiful ship HMS Hood herself. I can only hope I can build a suitable tribute, we shall see folks. The association list areas to improve the kit and although I will not be doing them all, I do hope to do a good few. Now I know I have 2 ships under construction and I will finish them but I am going to build Hood differently to these, I am STILL making stupid mistakes. I have spent a lot more time looking at the plans and PE.

I'll join the gathering throng. A truly iconic ship with a tragic story.

Thats a hell of a lot of bling to go on the Hood.I stumbled across an old Matchbox Hms Ariadne in my wardrobe of shame. It was second hand a bits missing so this wont be getting made.

As Mr Godfrey would say a gentleman is never dressed properly of a evening if he isnt wearing evening gloves.
