I have finally broken some wood by constructing the jig for shaping the funnels and the fun bit is squashing the brass tube into shape even though its only 0.5 mm it's very tough. Click image for larger version

          Peter,

I will follow along mate. Do you have to cut the parts out or does the part push out of the carrier plank?

They do have some cutting involved but it's something like cutting plastic off the sprue.

This will be another interesting and impressive project Peter. I’m looking forward to seeing the progress. You’ll be picking dry white glue off your fingers for a few weeks I think!
              Great stuff

Funnel looks good but as you say the colour looks a tiny bit pink to me on my screen that is. Which paint did you use Pete?

I had mine mixed by an automotive paint company so I have gone back to my tamiya buff witch is good enough for.

I have just received some planking as I have decided to plank my decks so I will see how far this batch will go so I know how much to order. Click image for larger version

You're doing a great job. It's a very complex time consuming build but you're making good progress. Funnel and decking are excellent.
