Dug out my ongoing build of the Academy Warspite kit, which has been in storage for over 5 years.
it was originally going to be a straightforward, out of the box, build but I found a couple of build logs for the kit on other forums (all using aftermarket parts) which made the ‘basic’ kit look just that. Having gone a fair way along the basic build I thought I would add some extra detail using the build logs (and some reference literature) as inspiration. All of the add-ones are either generic PE or scratch built, except for the wood hunter deck.
hopefully this has has made the build a little less bland.

This is one of the few warships I have on my “would like to build someday” list, as the Warspite was actively involved in the amphibious landings in my area in November 1944.
