The O'Brien series is excellent and another one is the Julian Stockwin series about Sir Thomas Kydd. Similar to Capt Aubrey but I think the series is a little longer.

Looking good Brian. Nice to see the shot going in :thumb2: The colour of the part on the painting stand looks closer to me, on my IPad at least. The other one is too pastel looking.

Going well Brian. For the gunport painting, couldn’t you just slip an appropriate sized tube over the gun barrels to prevent paint getting on them while you tackle the paint job?

The vacuum plastic sails with the kit are rubbish and aftermarket sails are too expensive so sorry no sails

Use fine handkerchiefs , blouse material etc, suitably marked up and coloured, and stiffened with dilute PVA - I used that in the past and it works perfickly!
