A nice paint job that. Well masked too - no bleed, that's always a great day at the paint booth.

Bob when I masked Bismarck off I used two rolls. lol. Start saving.

Just bought shares in tamiya masking tape !!

Sprayed decks in Tamiya linoleum LP. Middle section now in place

It looks bad but with the upper deck in place you can't see inside. The four holes are for the long lance torpedo quad launchers. The section in linoleum is visible.

Test filted all decks and no problem. After a big think ( brain overheated ) I have decided to add the numerous decks fittings with the decks not fitted. Hopefully easier to mask the moulded deck hatches as well

Also started wearing gloves when handling the painted hull.

HI Bob matey is there no plimsole line on her ? an you are doin a splendid job on her as as been said no leeks under the tamyia tape from paints well done my good freind an yes good idea about buyin shares in Tamyia maskin tape lol

YES Bob i mean that paint line so they dint have them did they have draught mrkins then ? or would they be to small to see in that scale ?

Thanks John, found rubbing the edge of the tape with a cotton bud does help a lot

More spraying today then back to the bridge, which is the worse. One deck level warped and a lot of poor fit.

Built these two units, they set either side of the lower bridge and have a glass panel. No idea what they are, the navigation lights are mounted on the outside.

They have to be fired first as the deck above virtually traps them. So first use of masking fluid. Hopefully when I spray the bridge as one the glass will be ok?

You can hopefully see the fluid.

They sit on the peg behind the almost square tub.

Looks great, a few touch ups will take care of the minut amount of bleed. As for the photo, why make them smaller?

Another attempt, small funnel. Bugger to mask due the numerous moulded lines
will need some tidying up.

Decided to spray the bridge in stages due the amount of detail which would be hard to paint. However the seams are still a bit visible. Spent ages but cheesed off and a lot. Might leave.

But Impressed with the masking fluid on the 'glass'

Time she's all done and sitting on the shelf you wont notice them seams bob, I think you've a pretty good job,they were big and awkward to fill and sand .

Using masking tape and fluid on the quarterback. About 80% ok. Some paint creep and my attempts to brush paint over the linoleum have not been very successful. I masked the linoleum areas and sprayed the grey

now the dilemma? Attempt to repaint the linoleum by light sanding or strip the lot. I think you can use Mr color thinner OR leave it.

Whatever on the other deck I'll use less masking fluid, put it down first and layer tape over the top

A good tip Bob: Take your magnifier OFF when looking at the paintwork.
No need to sand or strip anything. What type of paint is it by the way?

LEAVE IT Boyo looks ok to me you are tryin to hard bob my freind an when you do that you will not enjoy the build so enjoy it
