Just finishing off the opposite side then I need to mask the deck and paint the gun port linings (red ochre) and bulkheads (yellow ochre) will post some pics later

More fine progress Brian. Good luck with the painting. There are quite a few discussions on the web about the correct colours.

Jim, I have ordered paints from the Admiralty shipwright shop (Caldercraft) they have had scrapings from the ship and had them colour matched.

          Part No's:
          Waterbased: AP9115W

Sold in 18ml tinlets, Admiralty Paints Yellow Ochre is a scale paint which we have colour matched to the Admiralty colours, as still used on HMS Victory in Portsmouth.
Ideal for use on hulls, decoration and all general fittings.

Brian, now that is dedication to a build getting the Admiralty paints. Are they acrylic or enamel?

Having a break for a couple of weeks as I found a game (new to me) which is holding my interest and having a lot of fun playing although feeling a little guilty about no work being done on the Victory, I can't seem to multi task these days so need to either play or build

Morning, well the job I have been dreading has been started, god knows how long it will take me but lining the gun port is a right pain in the proverbial as it has to be glued to just 1mm of wood if you drop it it's gone forever into the belly of the ship.
          I'll keep you updated

Just had a catch up Brian. This is coming on really well and looks fantastic. Huge amount of work though, and you aren’t up to the masts and rigging yet……

You are making a superb job of this mate, but I have to say rather you than me.

Finally most of the gun port linings are done 86 x 4 pieces glued in place and never lost one to the belly of the ship
looking ahead the whales are next 3 each side 4 planks wide then onto the copper plates I have given the hull a light mr surfacer to show up where work is needed, not a massive amount (happy at that).
