Great work so far, also being a novice, I've just started this same project myself gonna do an out of the box build, keep the thumnail images coming matey.
I have stopped work on the Victory for the moment. I am in the process of building Airfix HMS Illustrious, although I havn't been able to take any pics due to not having a camera at the moment.
Well its been awhile since I have had a chance to do anything on my models. Other commitments and all that
When I finally got round to doing some work the other day, I have found that I am some parts missing. Now I am pretty sure that everything was there when I 1st checked the kit out, but now it seems that there are in fact about 8 pieces missing. I can't understand where they could of gotten too. Everything has been kept together in the bags that the parts came in, and it kept safely in its box under my bed for the past 5 months.
Unfortunately I do not have the receipt from where I bought the kit so I don't know if I can get the parts I need from Revell without it. Does anybody know if thats the case or not?????
Hi there Weareborg Your best bet is to look on the Revell website but I have a feeling that parts are not easy to get. If it had been an Airfix kit it there would have been no problem as they have an excellent parts replacement service good luck with the Revell website.
got the same size model as you Andy. Just WATCH OUT when it come to painting the rear off the ship, where the windows are, and I am not joking you they are really really really small detailed. You need the smallest hair paint brush you have got trust me. so I asked for advice from others and my brother ken (kpnuts) suggested cocktail sticks so I tried cocktail sticks to paint windows but did not work the windows and the details are bloody ridicules to try and paint it. It will strain your eyes to see the detail to paint so I left it a lone for a while.
